Note to self.

Dear Lindsay Dawn Case........

You should probably figure out what you are doing with your life.
Smile everyday. Even if you are faking it.
You need to keep looking for a second job.
Or find something to keep yourself busy for the next two years.
Or you will be miserable.
You might not get that one job you really want.
DON'T GET YOUR HOPES UP.
You do that too much and that is what is getting you down.
You should keep looking at apartments in Seattle
& find a friend to move there with you.
Go out and have fun.
Don't let anyone stop you.
Don't let anyone control you.
Stop trying to make others happy.
You need to let yourself be happy first.
Be a little selfish, FOR ONCE.
Get your Masters in Psychology
......even though people tell you it's too hard and too expensive.
DO WHAT YOU WANT.
Live your dreams.
Save up for that camera you want.
Go on hikes every Sunday.
......even if you have to go alone.
Who cares.
Stop eating so much chocolate.
Scratch that, eat all the chocolate you want.

Keep being yourself.
....even if people don't like it.
Keep doing what you do...
Don't ever give into peer pressure.
.....even though I know you won't.

Keep your standards high.
& don't be afraid to let it be known.
People are watching you.
You know how to have fun without be stupid.
You will be okay when Jared leaves....
You will......
.....even though you don't think you'll be able to handle it.
Life will work itself out the way it is supposed to happen.

Keep long-boarding.
Make music.

Spend more time with your family.
....even if they act like they don't want anything to do with you.
Keep being that girl that laughs at everything.
Keep being a friend to everyone.
Don't change.
Keep being that person who NEVER judges anyone.
Get that puppy husky you want.
It will cheer you up.
You need a lot of cheering up.
It doesn't matter what people think about you.
So what if people think you post too many pointless blogs.

  1. i love this post! seriously! i believe in treating yourself right, so that way you can treat others right as well. and really i wanna get down to earth about the mission thing. i just have to say stick to what you know intuitively. people will tell their story or their best friend's cousin's uncle's story about missionaries and waiting for a missionary and about how it worked out or didn't work out or you think you know now but just wait or two years is a long time and people change blah blah BLAH. yeah you know yourself well enough right now. i wish someone would've told me "don't listen to everyone's stories. just trust your guns and stick to what you really know inside." what you really want is what you'll really get. i swear. its gonna feel like he's gone forever and then one day he will be back and it will feel like was he ever gone? at times it will go fast and times way slow but know if you are keeping the commandments and doing your best at whatever you're doing in life, everything will work out the way YOU want it to. i swear! that's what i believe. be strong sister (:
